CAMALYA IS MORE THAN JUST A BRAND

t all began in the spring of 1989, when a young French couple, living in Paris, decided after their studies in France and the United States, to create a family business, specialising in the manufacture of hats.

Both born in Madagascar, they work hard for years to grow their structure. Over time, the family business bought two additional French production units in order to increase the manufacturing capacity and thus meet the high demand. This adventure for two, will give rise to a real love of the profession and a real passion for the fashion industry. This passion will constantly be linked to the strong values defended by the couple and the company since its creation.

In the beginning, their driving force to make the company evolve will be the Made in France know-how. Forerunner of what has now become an essential aspect of the business and despite the trends, they will never abandon this value to develop their base of business producing in France.

In 2006 CAMALYA was born, at the time a fashion accessories boutique located in Saint-Maur des Fossés in the Paris region. For the couple, it was the opportunity to offer to each person, and without intermediary, quality pieces corresponding to their values.

But then why CAMALYA? As you will certainly have understood, it is above all a family adventure; nothing is more obvious for this entrepreneurial couple than to give this shop the name of their children. CAMALYA is in fact the contraction of the first names of their two children: Camil and Alya.

Faced with growing success year after year, the couple decided to make CAMALYA a brand in its own right with its own collections.

In 2017, their son Camil joined the adventure, after his studies and experiences in finance, with the aim of taking over the commercial management of the brand. Since then, many strong values of corporate social responsibility have been implemented: such as ethical manufacturing in France and Madagascar or the elimination of synthetic materials in favour of the exclusive use of natural fibres. These values are shared by everyone working for and with CAMALYA today.

CAMALYA is a human, family adventure with strong values especially those that were so dear to this young entrepreneurial couple from the outset.

CAMALYA is also a real evolution because, over time, the brand has been able to adapt and reinvent itself while keeping its founding principles.

A lot of progress has been made since the time of the fashion accessories shop; indeed, fifteen years later, CAMALYA is now distributed in several hundred points of sale in cities throughout France and internationally (in Italy, Spain, Japan, South Korea or the United States among others). CAMALYA's resellers, commercial partners and collaborators, based in France or abroad, all agree on these commitments allowing CAMALYA to manufacture and market quality, natural, handcrafted articles that enhance know-how.

CAMALYA is therefore much more than a brand, it is a commitment, values, with the idea of always offering quality pieces as a symbol of its know-how.
